Yiming Zhong 鐘一鳴 is a member of the MPhil in Traditional East Asia program at Oxford. Prior to this, he earned a BA in Chinese Language and Literature from Wuhan University. As a member of the TEXTCOURT project, his research will primarily focus on Cantonese folk literature, beginning with the study of Huajian Ji 花箋記. His current research interests include comparative literature—with an emphasis on memoir-style narrative in French and classical Japanese—as well as Ming-Qing fiction, particularly Dream of the Red Chamber 紅樓夢 and The Sing-song Girls of Shanghai 海上花列傳.
