Qingyang Cai is a DPhil student in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at Oxford University, supervised by Professor Tian Yuan Tan. Her research primarily focuses on Ming-Qing drama and fiction, with her current project exploring travel narratives and the reconfiguration of spatial imagination in 17th-century chuanqi drama. Before joining the University of Oxford, Qingyang earned her M.A. in East Asian Languages and Cultures from Columbia University, and her B.A. in Global China Studies from New York University, Shanghai.
